1Vidhana Soudha

Located near Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha is one of the popular tourist attractions in Bengaluru,  this majestic building captivates visitors not just with its size but its architectural beauty. It is famous for being the largest legislature-cum-office building in India.

The entrance of the building has the national symbol of India – The four-headed Lion in front.

Built-in 1956, Vidhana Soudha boasts exquisite Dravidian architecture Constructed purely out of granite and porphyry. Vidhan Soudha looks breathtakingly beautiful when it is lit up during the evenings and on public holidays. The lights are kept on from 6:00 to 8:30 in the evening.

2Bengaluru Fort

Situated in the hustle and bustle of the KR market Bengaluru fort traces its origins to 1537 built by Kempe Gowda Namma Bengaluru’s founder as a mud fort. It has nine large gates and one of the city’s oldest monuments. When Haider Ali took over in 1761 he rebuilt the fort in stone and, Inside, you can catch a glimpse of an abandoned temple, gun holes etc. It’s a must-see heritage monument that one should experience on their trip to Bengaluru! 

3Lal Bagh

Lal bagh is one of Bengaluru’s famous gardens which is spread across 40 acres. It is an ideal place for morning walks and to spend relaxing weekend time in the midst of nature. A visit to this garden is sure to bring a smile to your face. What makes it so unique is the flower beds, designed lawns, water pools and plant species brought in by other countries.

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden boasts more than 1000 varied species of plants. Along with this, the botanical garden Bangalore also presents many interesting structures worth noticing. Some of these are Glasshouse, the Statue of Sri Chamaraja Wodeyar, the Aquarium building etc

4Big Bull Temple

The big bull temple also known as Nandi temple is one of the oldest temples in India, located in the area of Basavanagudi. It is said to be one of the largest Nandi temples in the world. Dedicated to the Nandi, the bull which is Lord Shiva’s ride, this temple attracts thousands of devotees from everywhere. The massive statue of Nandi which has been carved out of a single granite rock and is very impressive to look at. Not just that but the idol of Nandi in this temple is known to be one of the biggest in the world.  

5National Gallery of modern art

 Set in a mansion amidst trees is the national gallery of modern art which is home to some marvellous paintings, photographs and sculptures of earlier times. It showcases the work of many modern and contemporary Indian artists. National Gallery of Modern Art is also a hub of art activities and a major cultural centre in Bangalore. It hosts various art workshops, film screenings, and seminars throughout the year. Here, you can browse around 500 paintings and art exhibits. 

6Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall

The Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall in Bengaluru is situated in Cubbon Park which is the Central Part of the city. city. Built-in honour of the dewan of Mysore Sir K. Seshadri Iyer this monument in Bengaluru is home to a luxurious library which offers literary classics that are not found anywhere else in India. It houses the state central library which was set up in 1915. Constructed entirely in red brick and mortar this monument in Bangalore is also a one-stop destination for historians.

7Tipu Sultan summer palace

Tipu sultan’s summer palace used to be the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan was often called as the ‘Abode of Happiness’ and ‘Envy of Heaven’ by the constructor himself.

The design of the palace does resemble Indo-Islamic architecture and captivating work on the ceilings and walls. It truly is a beautiful place in Bengaluru.
