1Vodka French Toast

On the list of “Things that make the world happy”, vodka, France, and freshly baked bread all rank on the top. So imagine them all combined and served as your morning breakfast, I think that’s the only way you can convince me to get out of bed.

But honestly, I don’t want to head into my Monday meetings feeling all boozy. So with a lot of trials, I found Ciroc Vodka as an ideal ingredient for vodka-infused French toast. If you want the buzz of vodka without it feeling very strong for your palate, I’d recommend giving it a shot (pun intended). Made out of French grapes, the vodka totally complements the sweetness the dish brings and enhances the umami taste of the ingredients too. With a comforting slice on a weekend and a quick fix-up on a workday, we have a winner, guys.

2Bailey’s Pancakes

Nobody really told me the adult version of pancakes would get me so addicted. But now that I know, I can’t stop but have it as a staple breakfast. When I first tried Irish whiskey-infused pancakes, I was 21, a tad bit hungover, and waking up to my best friend making them. Like a lot of things at 21, it didn’t make sense but sounded fun. At 26, as I open these Excel sheets, I have a lot more appreciation for a little whiskey in my pancakes. But now I of course make choices that make sense. So instead of opting for any other Irish whiskey, I turned to Baileys.

An Irish Whiskey with fresh cream and premium chocolates is a melting pot of sweet flavours, decadent melt-in-mouth, and the right whiff of buzz. So yes, my pancakes have Baileys and yours should too. Topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, you are surely in for an extra indulgent treat.

3Gin Dal Tadka

Tampering with Dal Tadka’s tempering is blasphemy and I am aware. But once you try tempering Dal Tadka with Gin, I‘m sure you will come to terms with its deliciousness. If you have always tried Gin infused desserts (yes, we all love them too), this is a refreshing take on the drink of choice and one of the rarest liquor-infused meals. But if you are a fan of both Ramsay and Gin, you probably have Gordon’s recipe on TV and its bottle in the liquor cabinet. The Gin develops a citrusy taste and to the nose, it has hints of fresh herbs. The origin story of the Gin Dal Tadka recipe is quite obvious but the recipe in itself isn’t. So if you try it out, let me know how it turned out.

4Vodka Mango Milkshake

I’ll admit I have friends who aren’t a fan of milkshakes (gasp). So when on a lazy Sunday afternoon I am transported to a tropical paradise with my show-stopper mango milkshake, my friends aren’t. Quick fix? A dash of vodka. In its glorious form, vodka is sweet on the palate so I rely on Smirnoff Hipster to bring in the hint of spice. This creative variation on Mango Milkshake goes to satisfy the need for something sweet and the occasional boozy, whether you’re sipping it by the pool or having a lazy afternoon with friends.

5Whiskey Pan Fried Chicken

If there was one dish that represented most of my Friday plans it would be Fried Chicken. It has the comfort of coming home to a cosy room and warm lights. I make sure my fried chicken marination speaks of the week I usually have- sweet, zesty, and spicy. But like a long weekend, my Friday-like pan-fried chicken also gets introduced to some whiskey, you know, for the punch. The advanced flavours of the marination and crisp whiskey combine beautifully to create this warm, cosy, cult-favourite dish. I started with Johnnie Walker’s Black Label and I know it really works well with the recipe. If you have time on your hands, you can prepare some mashed potatoes too. Which to me feels very much like a family Christmas dinner.

6Baileys CupCake

Why just sip on baileys when you can eat it too? And especially as a cupcake! This moist and flavour-packed little cupcake is literally a small version of a birthday cake you would bake for your SO. Flavoured with lots of love. When I’m bored of adding Baileys to my pancakes, they go straight to the cupcakes- the reward for doing the bare minimum. As a quick late-night craving or to make someone’s day extra special, Bailey’s cupcake will definitely ‘bake’ your day.
